Narrators

Eleven narrators participated in the project, representing California State University alumni, staff, faculty, and administrators. Ten oral histories were ultimately conducted and published on this site.

The narrators spoke with the project's student interviewers, providing their recollections of the advocacy and implementation of the Black Student Center, the operations of the early days of the Center, and their expectations for the future of the Center. The narrators also often spoke of their personal journeys, recounting experiences from their childhoods, education and employment, and perspectives on activism in both personal and professional capacities.
